Natalie Portman for Christian Dior "Miss Dior Cherie"

What do you get when you mix Natalie Portman, Sofia Coppola, Paris and Serge Gainsbourg and Jane Birkin's iconic “Je T’aime Moi Non Plus” track? The new commercial for Miss Dior Cherie!

Unfortunately this 'Frencher than a Croque Monsieur from Cafe de Flore at 11pm' combination hasn't quite worked out how you might imagine. The scenes of Portman zipping on a beautiful black ballet-inspired evening gown, rising sleepily from bed, her hand tugged by a handsome man, and stealing kisses on a perfectly Parisian looking doorstep look more like an in-film parody of a perfume advertisement than an actual one.
