'Yohji Yamamoto: This Is My Dream' Documentary Tralier
Documentaries dedicated to the fashion world and everything revolving it have become a real phenomenon. Among many examples are the first ones dedicated to Karl Lagerfeld, created by Loïc Pringent and the most famous of all, The September Issue, featuring the daily life and attitude in the American Vogue and from its editor in chief, Anna Wintour.
The last piece is devoted to the great designer, Yohji Yamamoto, a typical confident and calm japanese character, who has, however, consented to the presence of television cameras during the presentation of Y-3 spring/summer 2010 collection, the label which he designs for Adidas.
From the finishing touches on the hats until the climax of the parade, the documentary Yohji Yamamoto: This is my Dream explain in details the collection, thanks to the images and words of the designer and his staff. The director, Theodore Stanley, made his debut with a documentary after having worked as a director of photography aside Bruce Weber and Chiara Clemente.
