Francesca Arienti, a discovery with great talent

As you have noticed, I like trying new things, new places, styles and coming designers ... but this time I will talk to you about something new, or rather, to present. I speak of an emerging photographer, and undoubtedly very talented. I met her in my hometown, by chance, and the meeting was very interesting.
He showed me some of her works, and I assure you that has a good eye, with a great ability to capture the much sought after "perfect moment"! Her name is Francesca Arienti, she is 22 years old . I thought I'd let you know you too, so I have asked some questions that I propose.

Come avete notato, mi piace cercare cose nuove, luoghi nuovi, stili e stilisti emergenti ... ma questa volta vorrei parlarvi di qualcosa di nuovo, o meglio, presentarvi. Parlo di una fotografa emergente, e, indubbiamente di grande talento. L'ho incontrata nella mia città, per puro caso, e l'incontro è stato molto interessante.
Mi ha mostrato alcuni suoi lavori, e vi assicuro che ha un'ottimo occhio, con una grande capacità di immortalare il tanto ricercato "momento perfetto"! Il suo nome è Francesca Arienti e ha 22 anni. Ho pensato di farvela conoscere anche a voi, perciò le ho fatto alcune domande che vi propongo.

From what you've got this passion? I think all along. As a child I loved watching the old black and white photos of artists. I understood from my last trip to Paris that photography would become a fundamental part of my life ...

Da quanto hai questa passione? Credo da sempre. Sin da piccola amavo guardare le vecchie foto in bianco e nero di artisti del passato. Ho capito dal mio ultimo viaggio a Parigi che la fotografia sarebbe diventata parte fondamentale della mia vita...

Your inspiration comes from where? Fashion comes from in the first place ... the thousands of magazines read so far: Vogue, Harper's Bazaar, Vanity Fair to name a few, from the music, my other passion since childhood, I need to create and express myself better, from my city, Turin, which I love and I believe that one of the most beautiful cities ever seen, from people I meet on the street, their way of being, to express themselves.

La tua ispirazione da dove arriva? Arriva dalla Moda in primis...le mille riviste lette fin'ora: Vogue, Harper's Bazaar,Vanity Fair per citarne qualcuna; dalla Musica, mia altra passione fin da piccola, ho bisogno di musica per creare ed esprimermi al meglio; dalla mia città, Torino, che adoro e che reputo una delle più belle città mai viste; Dalle persone che incontro per strada, dal loro modo di essere, di esprimersi.

Who are your photographers of reference? the first that comes to mind is undoubtedly Demarchelier for the use of divine black and white; Testino for the sensation of movement that I perceive by looking at his photographs, LaChapelle which I consider one of the most brilliant artists ever, Richardson, artist leading contemporary photographer, author of controversial and contested campaigns for his unconventional style. I could quote endless but I think they represent perfectly all that I want to be in the future.

Chi sono i tuoi fotografi di riferimento? il primo che mi viene in mente è senza dubbio Demarchelier, per l'uso divino del bianco e nero; Testino per la sensazione di movimento che percepisco guardando le sue fotografie; LaChapelle che considero uno degli artisti più geniali di sempre; Richardson, artista di spicco della fotografia contemporanea, autore di controverse e censurate campagne pubblicitarie, per il suo stile trasgressivo. Potrei citarne infiniti ma credo che loro rappresentino perfettamente tutto ciò che vorrei essere in futuro.

What do you think of the current advertising campaigns increasingly "hot"? I think that reflects what the world today. We are attracted to anything that seems forbidden or scandalous, and the latest campaigns (to name just one, that of Tom Ford) are proof.

Cosa ne pensi delle attuali campagne pubblicitarie sempre più "hot"? Credo che rispecchino quello che è la società oggi. Siamo attratti da tutto ciò che ci appare proibito o scandaloso, e le ultime campagne (per citarne una, quella di Tom Ford) ne sono la prova.

And the "old" advertising campaigns, for example, shock photo of Toscani? The old adv, like that of 2007 by Toscani, of course, haven't left the public indifferent, but not without strong criticism by the media. Times have changed, the subjects, as tastes evolve along with the fashions of the moment. In the old adv saw models like Cindy Crawford or Linda Evangelista emerged that were sponsored not only the product but also and above all their beauty, but now the adv are full of "women-dummy" all alike, but that does not leave much the viewer.

E delle "vecchie" campagne pubblicitarie, per esempio le foto shock di Toscani? Le vecchie adv, come quella del 2007 di Toscani, sicuramente, non hanno lasciato indifferente il pubblico, non evitando però forti critiche dai media. I tempi sono cambiati, i soggetti, come i gusti si evolvono insieme alle mode del momento. Nelle vecchie adv vedevamo modelle del calibro di Cindy Crawford o Linda Evangelista che facevano emergere non solo il prodotto sponsorizzato ma anche e soprattutto la loro bellezza, mentre ora le adv sono piene di "donne-manichino" tutte simili, ma che, non lasciano molto allo spettatore.

Talking about you, what would you like to be? Challenging questions. It would be trivial answer that I would travel the world doing this passion, a profession, working for some major fashion magazine overseas, or become, why not, a freelance photographer.

Parlando di te, cosa vorresti fare da grande? Domanda impegnativa. Sarebbe banale rispondere che vorrei girare il mondo facendo di questa passione, un mestiere, lavorare per qualche importante rivista di moda oltre oceano, o diventare, perchè no, una fotografa freelance.

Refers to the various blogs, more or less known, you think there is an excessive use of the word PHOTOGRAPHER? Absolutely. In this period any person who owns a camera, or follows a simple course of photography, describes itself PHOTOGRAPHER. I think the photographer as a painter, musician, artist in general is born with this "gift" is not something that is learned, can improve certain skills over time, but no one will teach you what you can not to see and feel alone.

Riferito ai vari blog, più o meno noti, pensi che ci sia un utilizzo esagerato della parola FOTOGRAFO? Assolutamente si. In questo periodo ogni persona che possiede una macchina fotografica, o segue un semplice corso di fotografia, si autodefinisce FOTOGRAFO. Credo che il fotografo come il pittore, il musicista, l'artista in generale nasca con questo "dono", non è un qualcosa che si apprende, certo può migliorare la competenza con il tempo, ma nessuno ti insegnerà quello che non sei in grado di vedere e percepire da solo.
