As she readies for her honorable position as show opener at this year's ceremony, Lady Gaga kicked off the weekend by hosting a fabulous Atom Factory MTV VMA dinner party in Los Angeles, California on Friday night (August 26).

Bringing her always eye-catching fashion while adorned in a low-cut, cleavage-baring red ensemble with towering heels, the "Born This Way" singer welcomed an impressive guest list to her Ciroc Vodka sponsored soiree held at The Beverly.

Among the attendees joining Gaga at the MTV Video Music Awards precursor event were Nicole Scherzinger and Mary J Blige, as well as JoJo, who mingled with gal pals Destinee and Paris.

As for this Sunday night (August 28), Lady Gaga is not only slated to offer up the first performance, as she's also in the running for four Moonmen including Best Female Video and Best Video With a Message for "Born This Way," along with Best Art Direction and Best Choreography for "Judas."
