Sukha means ‘joy of life’ in Sanskrit, the language of the Buddhist monks in India and Nepal. At Sukha you will find fashion, interior, accessories, little gifts, books, workshops and travel all under 1 roof! And from now on Sukha is my own personal joy of life, what a shop! Sukha gets their products from India, Nepal, Morocco, Peru, Indonesia and from The Netherlands. All products are or reused, or vintage, or handmade. It all sounds maybe a bit ecological, greyish, but believe me, Sukha is far from that.
First, of course, I want to tell you about the fashion labels they sell ...
-A stunning Camilla Norrback, Studio JUX, The Baand and delicious Monkee Genes, a breathtaking Antik Batik, StudioRUIG, Novemb3, Andersen and Lauth, By Bar and my own special favorite Humanoid!
Next to all the above, Sukha sells their own label, called … Sukha:-) The label is designed by Irene Mertens (founder of Sukha). The patterns are made by Christine Laporte at a studio in Amsterdam. All pieces are handmade by Miss Meenaksi, who lives just outside Delhi. So think small (limited) editions and for prices from 30,- euro’s for a blouse or a dress, it truly is a bargain.
    Yummy interior stuff
Sukha sells next to their own fashion label, their own interior label, again made by the founder of Sukha Irene Mertens. Together with her dad she gives old furniture a new life. For instance, they give chairs and old benches imported from Java a new retrostyle makeover.
But of course there is more interior stuff at Sukha, did I mention Zilalila! Zilalila is a XXL pillow, handmade at a fair trade factory in Nepal. And don’t forget the great stuff made by Ineke van Heins, called ‘Home’! Heins knits poufs, rugs and casings for vases from old yarn.

    Over to the accessories
Miss Nati, Natalia Cincunegui is an artist and a woman of the world. Born in Buenos Aires and living in Amsterdam. Her own ‘Miss Nati’ are truly gems of jewels. Piece by piece they are unique. For only 19,95 euro you have your own ‘Miss Nati’.
Vavavoom … off to the bags! Philomijn makes stunning bags and belts all made from the best ecological leather. You can pick your own favourite colour and Sukha will order it for you.
And there is Eva Schreuder, Eva makes memories, I love memories, well when they are good memories... and Eva makes good memories, Eva makes handmade jewellery and  bags. All with their own story and with that unique Eva style.

So, did I tell you enough, as I can go on and on telling you about this new treasury that I found today! See for yourself and let me know what you think of Sukha!
